how to tell what year a motor is, casting number I'm looking at getting a 6.0l truck motor from a guy on the local Air Force base. motor is at the machine waiting for final payment then it will be finished.
anyways he is not sure what year the motor is from. I know some had longer cranks and I don;t want to mess with all that. so is there a way to tell what year it is based on casting numbers. I'm sure there is, I just don't know the nomenclature for finding out.
