Gauges cluster question

Mine is not working good (the oil pressure gauge), so If I chaNGE IT FOR ANOTHER, CLUSTER, IT WILL WORK ON MY CAR WITHOUT ANY NEED OF CALIBRATION AT GM DEALER? Someone said that the computer won't let the car function because of a different VIN # at the new cluster? I'm not worry about changing millage, but the reading will STILL workING also on my car?

i would say false; the cluster isn't what holds the data, it just reads it from the PCM
