Magnaflows sound pretty good to me. I agree with those who say your rasp is more a product of a poorly designed merge.

My nice ARH merge + Hooker sounds great and no rasp whatsoever.

I love the TSP Rumbler for my gf's 2000 T/A. With stock manifolds/cats right now it sounds great and you just can't beat that price.. I'm worried it will sound too raspy once we install headers/ORY in the next few weeks. LM1 sound terrible especially with no cats its just noise there is no tone to it. Lots like it but i don't. The TSP which is just a dynomax bullet really has more tone it. Just my opinion of course. Other then that i love the way borla sounds on just about anything. Magnaflow sounds pretty good but a little too raspy for me. In person i haven't heard many GMMGs on ls1s(other then on the net) so i cant judge. I will say on a gen1 motor they sound sweet though.

LM1 is not a Muffler its a hollow expansion tube, So anything coming out of it is exactly what would come out of your Yor X pipe(s). Everyone has different tastes so Listen to exhaust in person... Under Load in and out of the car. When you hear a combo you like, buy it. For me and 75% of my friends my Sig set up was the best and the magnaflows made me sound like a F150 truck.
