Secondary injection CODE! 2001 trans am ...my cars check engine light came on and its the secondary air injection system where should i start and narrow it down... I can hear the air pump coming on and off as im driving is that normal?
It's an air pump code. There was a recall on certain years so you might wanna check that first. If you're in an area where you don't have to pass emissions, removing the air pump is fairly easy and cleans up the engine bay a LOT.
