hooker y pipe? I'm putting on a magnaflow cat back and I am going to do a new y pipe
while I am at it. I have pacesetter headers. Is a hooker y worth the extra
money or should I just save money and buy pacesetter? I have tsp y now
and don't want another one.

I have pacesetter lt's and their ORY on my SS. I don't like the looks of it, it's just the passenger side pipe bent to the I pipe connection and the drivers side is welded onto it, a rough square hole is cut into the pass side pipe. I actually reached into this area and opened it up with a die grinder and carbide bit.
On my Z28 I have the same exact headers, but used an Edelbrock ORY. The two pipes on that join equally, it connected to the header with very little modification. The Y pipe was dirt cheap from Summit, excellent build quality. And not that you'd need it all, it came with two O2 bung fittings and four stainless steel T bolt strap clamps. It also come with a 3" outlet and a reducer to put on if you use the stock 2 3/4" I pipe. It doesn't have crush marks for floor clearance so it sits a bit lower.
