Question AIR tech question(in the middle of removal)

What is this and can it be removed? It is on a bracket that connects next to the intake(just slides in). It has the one electrical connection that you can see toward the front of the car and two air like conncetions, one coming from the intake it seems and one going to the little T fitting for the AIR tubes? Can i just remove this put a screw in the little wire going to the intake and tape up the electrical connector out of the way? Pics below...Thanks guys!

When i did mine i put the rubber elbo hose on the plastic nipples and put some rtv on a sheet metal screw then thread in to the elbo. Mine's been like that for 4 years no problems.

That's the same bracket that held the T-fitting in place, right? I couldn't reach the nut on the back side to get it off. That and I couldn't tell what size it was....sooo I left it in place.
As for the vacuum line, there's a splice closer to the intake (not an elbow) that I put a screw in to cap it off. There's less hose flopping around that way. To seperate that splice, grab both sides and pull it apart firmly, but besure not to yank the line out the back of the intake.
As for the electrical connector, I don't see why you couldn't clip the wires, tape em off and push em into the loom that they come out of. I plan on having EGR and AIR programmed out of my computer.

no this is a seperate bracket and the one on the back of the head was a pain in the ***! but its a C kinda bracket, you break it lose and you can pull it off then the bolt came out like cake! this is a seperate bracket. a little line comes off the back of the intake into one of the dual fittings you see in the second and third pic then back out the other to that stupid T thing on the back of the head. if your solution will fix this without that stupid bracket still in there try to explain it a little better sorry im not really following. all ive got right not is to put one screw with some sealant in the line coming from the intake and tape up that connector. thanks a lot guys....one header in one to go!

Yea, I just deleted the AIR crap when I did my headers. I couldnt reach that bolt on the back so I just left that stuff on the back of the intake. I just removed the big hose going to the passenger side. I will deal with it when I get an ls6 intake.
