nah can anyone post a pic of that bracket on the intake????
They should of mentioned the sensor unit in back of the intake on ls1howto.com but it was never mentioned.
I prob like many others learned the hard way and was out another $40

I prob like many others learned the hard way and was out another $40 I didn't use that bracket myself.. as I re-did my wiring harness and rerouted most of it, I didn't find the need t use it anyway. If your stock.. it will just keep the Knock Sensor harness from flopping around.
The bracket is a safety device to prevent the fuel rail from going through the firewall. It bolts on to the last 2 bolts on the driver's side of the intake manifold. The service manual makes a big deal out of it.
Good lord! I didn't realize how many people had a problem with this. I had never heard of this problem and had know idea to look out for it when I swapped my intake.
When I did mine I just took the hose off the booster, leaving it connected to the intake. Did I get lucky, or is that the recommended way?

When I did mine I did motor mounts at the same time so I just dropped the motor a bit which allowed for easy removal of the intake without breaking the oil pressure sending unit. The key is to lift first then pull outwards. If possible, have a friend lift and pull as you guide the intake around the OPSU.
That bracket goes on the last two intake bolts on the drivers side and hold some sensor (cam position sensor?) The square flat part points upwards and with the tab hanging down towards the drivers side. I had the exact same question. Unfortunately I believe you have to use your last two intake manifold bolts to secure it which you cant get out unless you remove the intake

Too bad I can't have to much fun since I am in the process of getting the ls7 clutch. I want to make this clutch last as long as possible hopefully till mar 09.. I want to do the installation on the clutch myself. I need to learn since I know I will go through many more clutches

Hey guys this morning my SES light came on so after wk I went to scan it at AZ and it brought up my o2's, egr which have been deleted due to my race lt headers but now it showed the code above.. What do I need to do to get rid of the SES light? Not sure if this has to do with the intake switch but I hate having it on.
