Default Q-TEC exhaust cutouts

Just curious if anyone is running these? If so, how well do they hold up overtime?
I'd let to get a pair for my '87 but am worried about spending that kind of money on something that may freeze up due to exhaust heat and such one day.
Thanks,

i have one on my ta. i don't know how well they hold up over time,i've only had mine for two weeks.it looks to be well built and it's great not climbing under the car to open it. i'm real happy with it and love the new sound of my car.
