Question Last question before ordering catted ARHs

I'm wondering why I should order ARHs over Kooks? I read through some of the threads here but still not 100% sure. Kooks seem to be a little cheaper, same 304 SS, WBO2 welded-in, new merge collector.

It seems the advantage ARHs seems to have is a better y-pipe and cats, and better fitment (although that seems to be debatable).

Is this a case of apples and oranges, or are ARHs better, albeit more expensive?

I wouldn't mind saving some money if there's no appreciable difference between the two. Thanks.

I'm not sroach, but it's the merge. Look at the Kooks Y, the merge seems like an afterthought, one pipe just joins into the side of the other. The ARH is an actual merge that smooths out the flow (first part is right, second part I just tried to use common sense to word it...). And from what I've seen, Kooks are MORE expensive than the ARH... (apples to apples, as in catted Y and similar sizes). Besides the merge, the y-pipes are similar (I had a kooks catted Y right before the ARH so I had a hands on deal with both). HTH.

Thanks lastcall. I'm still all set on the ARHs. I think the merge in the Kooks has been improved though:

One thing I don't like about the Kooks is that WBO2 is aligned with the O2 bung. The WBO2 bung is now standard issue.

I'll take your word on the y-pipe, and thanks for the heads up.

Ordering ARHs tomorrow.
