Default Probably a dumb intake question.
Hey guys, im looking to get a new intake for my V6 camaro, and I am so confused on the SLP Cold Air Induction Kit, and the K&N FIPK. Are they the same thing? and you should only get one, or can you install both?

Neither one will work with your v6, the v-6 cars have a different lid outlet than the v8 cars.

Whisper used to sell an offset lid for the 3.8 V6, and a CAI - check them out. Also think the SLP CAI fits too.

I was planning on getting the Whisper Lid anyways, so to get new intake, do i get the SLP CAI and that counts as a new intake, or can i still get the FIPK? I really just need help finding a new intake, because that's one major thing I want to do to my car.

Not sure what you're asking, what do you mean by "new intake?" In my earlier post I should've said...V6 whisper lid AND CAI kits for your car. Click on induction on their site, think they listed 3 or 4. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

i just want to get a new intake, one that is better and can improve torque and hp. im just confused on the FIPK and the SLP CAI. My question is, is an intake with the tubing and filter the same as a Cold Air Induction, or can you install both together to increase torque and hp even more?

forget about the fipk all together. just get the wisper lid and the slp cold air scoop that goes under the car.

you will see more power using the lid and cold air kit. the fipk is just a overpriced option that is not the best bet.

YOU CAN NOT USE THE PIPK WITH THE LID AND WITH THE SLP CAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GET THE LID AND THE SLP SCOOP AND CUT OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE LID TRAY.
