Default Idea for more air flow

This is just a thought, im not sure how plausible it really is just wanted to get some feedback on it. The air deflector (the piece of plastic that people bottom out on) is supposed to direct air upward into the air box and i suppose the radiator. If you were to curve this bottom of the air deflector upward then technically more air would go into the air box. Also, you could add more material to front deflector making it like an indented inclined plane. To do something like this you would most likely have to fortify the deflector for stability somehow. What do you guy think about this?

i think as big as that opening is compared to as small as the lid takes in that there is plenty of air supplied. i dont know if getting anymore in there would do any good. but if you could get it more direct flow i cant see it hurting at all.

What the hell is your avatar? Is that Bills head on hillarys body? lol

I dont know man.. I think it kind of goes with the ram air principle. Unless you are going over 100 mph to where you can really get some good airflow the engine is going to suck whatever it can to make power.

But yeah I can picture something kinda cool looking to get some fresh air into the engine compartment.

too much work for not enough gain. would look cool though if that's what you're after.

I really don't think it would allow MORE air...it would just make the air travel faster. Unless you increase the size of the air dam, your not catching any more air. And lets be honest here, no matter how fast the air is going, when it hits the filter, it will only flow as fast as the filter will let it. Just my .02

You could fashion a type of scoop to help direct the air into the opening. But it would have to be big enough to catch enough air to make it useful. Then that would probably bottom out on everything! Would be interesting to see someone come up with a plan though.
