Open Headers????
Open Headers???? Will I see any issue running open headers with about a 6 inch pipe attached to the header? No muffler just pipe. I tried no pipe at all and threw 02 codes like crazy. Added the pipe and no codes. Question is, will I see a reduction in time at the track. Keep in mind this is not a street car it gets turned on about 10 times a week 2 of which are to get it on and off the trailer the others are at the track.
well it depends alot on many different factors like cam displacementand so on. I would honestly do a read up on this forum it talks about exaust systems and what they do. But from what i get out of it you might be ok with open headers as long as your staying in the high RPMs and have very large cam that doesnt rely on the scavangeing effects of back pressure.
