Looks like you beat that poor passenger header tube to hell and back at the k member. Hell man, I have these headers and I cut the top section pf the k member right there. I also grinded out the driver side like you did.

Also you dont have to cut the entire collector off the header like you did on the driver side. Just cut it about 80-90% of the way leaving it connected at the top, then bend it down and reweld it back together.

These headers do need a little work to make them work. If the passenger side tube didnt lay on the k member like it does and the driver header wasnt angled up like it is then these headers would be the best thing to come along since the LS1

You cut the collector off one. Why did you weld it back on with the O2 pointing way down--would've been a perfect time to fix that problem, hell they look like the lowest point of the car now. Any pics of that?
What happened to the stick of 4" going all the way to the stock muffler?

All good replies. We flipped the cut-off piece over and tacked back on. The angle flipped it the right way for my setup. I may plug off those 02 holes and put in a couple of new bungs. They are close to the lowest point!

The 4" won't clear up and over the axle so we cut it back about as close to where it starts up and apapted 4":3": 2.75". Cutout will go in the 4" section.

Pics show where it was tight on the K member both sides. Marker is areas to be cut for clearance. The picture of the driver's header is where it was cut to angle it down away from the floor.
I got it..I don't want to have cut off at collector and re-weld. Let me think what do with QTP headers..This post is good inform.
Thanks for sharing...

I love my hooker ... headers. They fit up perfect with no notching kmember or removing the steering shaft. I have heard though that every car is different, mine had 95k on it at the time.

After the first time youll say you will never put headers on an Fbody again. But you will. Time and time again :-). That may just be because I did it on the ground at night and outside in winter in an LT1 car my first time. LOL.

Look good without the air pump doesn't it? i got mine token off when the headers got put in. Just makes it look cleaner and easier to get in and out when doing stuff with the car.
