Default Removing AIR question

First off, yes i did a search but still a little confused as to what I need to do. I have an 02 z28 with pacesetter LTs (no emission fittings) and the AIR system was deleted out but all the equipment is still there. I want to put on my SLP lid tomorrow and i know i need to get a plug for it. Where are the AIR hoses running to and are they even hooked up to anything anymore with the new headers? The pump itself is easy enough to get to but im unsure of all the hoses. Can i just unbolt the pump and then yank the hoses out, or would i need block off plates? Any help is appreciated

well since u said youre headers have no emission fittings then you wouldnt need block off plates. just remove all the hoses plug your air lid, and get a vacumn cap for when you take off the big black piece on the drivers side valve cover

I'm actually picking up some headers with zero emission fittings as well.
I know I don't need block off plates and I don't have an egr system, but what type of cap can I use to plug that part so I don't have a vacuum leak?

Local parts store should have a rubber plug that fits into the side of the lid

Thanks, I actually have an MTI lid so I put a breather on the air hose.
I was more or less asking about the plug he was talking about the vaccum cap for the drivers side valve cover.
You may know the answer for that though.
If so, let me know.
Thanks.

there are two different pieces on the driver's side rear of the intake. One has the main large AIR hoses to it and the piece is infront of that with the two vaccum lines. The one with the hoses you can delete as well as the other one as long as the AIR is tuned out.

The small piece has two vaccum lines on it, one for the piece with the hoses and I don't remember right off hand where the other goes. But follow it and whatever it is hooked into put a cap on it

Thanks for the response.

It's the left vacuum elbow.
I actually pulled out all my air **** this morning.
Was not too hard, just had to get my hands in there.
I was able to pull everything out, then plug the 90* fitting on the vacuum line.

I don't have my air tuned out yet, but I won't have any ill effects other than a CEL correct?
