Does a stall effect gas mileage?
And he didnt ask if big cams and big gears and big shitty stalls kill your gas mileage. So yeah with all that you have your mileage will suck and you also list your car as a track car so you picked a shitty cam and stall for fuel mileage, if you pick the right stall cam etc it wont hurt the mileage near as much and thats what he is asking.
And since your so offended by the shitty stall comment what kind of gold plated sent from god stall do you have?
wow, ok lets put it this was at 3k im leaving cars WAY behind me from a red light, i have around 300/280 at that time.. so its getting up... a NORMAL pickup like all normal vehicles is around 2k-2200k rpms..

i was just putting in my setup so he knew i wasnt just stalled.. i didnt think about gas mileage when buying ANYTHING on my car.. \
i have one of those shitty *** vigalante converter...
all in all.. **** you dude.. plain and simple.. and im the idiot? cause i picked a good setup while not worrying about gas mileage... wow, the OP asked if a stall would effect gas mileage...

Look you started this ****, I said shitty converters get shitty mileage or inefficient ones or the way you drive, you came back directing **** at me calling me an *******, so if you dont like it get fucked, I never said a thing to you or directed anything toward you yet you directly call ME an *******. Hope that helps since you cant put 2 and 2 together.
Now as far as the statement above... is that supposed to insult you? No its not, ill spell that one out too, point was someone asked if converters kill your mileage, you chime in with "yeah you get about 8-9 MPG" but on your end thats because you have "everything you bought you gave no consideration to MPG" so then why the hell are you giving advice about fuel mileage. Especially since your car is a so-called "track car", another reason you shouldnt be giving advice about a street cars MPG.
Ultimately the point is someone asked a question and some people came in spreading bull ****, converters do not knock your fuel mileage down to 8-9MPG your other mods and driving style figure more into that. Now because of that the guy may never get a converter in fear of losing that many MPG
My MPG is virtually unchanged, so far on my first tank of gas I have about 105 miles at the half tank mark, basically the same as before depending on how I drive, I have been driving a bit aggressive so the MPG could be even a bit better.

the reason i came in here is because as you can see i sold my Z... i DD my trans am everyday about 50-60 miles mostly around town.. drive to the track and back.. so yes it is a street driven car.... i dont care if hes scared of getting a stall..
ill direct it again... wish you were closer to me, *******..

im done with you.. thanks,
Evan

well I do go to kentucky once a year or so, so next time Im there i'll let you know, may be sooner than later, I wouldn't mind making the trip to meet you at all..
im a fuckng idiot.. let me know whenever you come around my area..
The city mileage is lost since every time you go from a stop or you accelerate, your converter will slip until it hits stall speed. Since very few people will cruise consistently above 3krpm, unless you are running some high set of gears then it's hopeless for you mileage wise.
The quicker you get it to lockup, the better your mileage. If you blip the throttle and break lock up for the sake of accelerating you will lose mileage. That's free revs that make noise, use gas all for a bit faster acceleration which isn't really needed when you "city" drive. Depending on your driving style you could find yourself missing 10+mpg in city.
I had a stall car before and while I loved being able to launch well, I enjoy driving my m6 car just as much.
My highway mileage has remained unchanged from stock through the 3000 and 3600 stalls I've had.

Interstate is more than double that though....?
or did anyone who bought an LS1 get some??? Hmm....makes you think.
