Default Installed manifold today....had a few issues.

So I had some downtime at work today so I decided to install my 85mm PP Manifold and TB. So everything went as expected. I broke the oil pressure sending unit. Barely took any pressure at all to break mine so i'm glad I have to replace it. I propably could have flicked it and broke it. My valley bolts cleared so that was a plus. I found a collapsed PCV line so I had to replace that. Got everything back together. I cycled the key to check for fuel leaks. The fitting on the pass. rear was leaking. So i took the rail off and tightened the fitting a bit more. It still leaked. So this was when **** got interesting. I tried to remove the fitting and it was siezed in the rail. WILL NOT COME OUT. But it still leaks. So I had to leave the car and have the gf come get me. Tomorrow I have to take the rail to my buddy at the machine shop and have them tig weld the fitting in place. Ive had this done a few times on my other custom fuel systems, it workes great. Just got to lay a nice bead around the threads. So hopefully that will get done ASAP tomorrow morning. And at 5 when I get off I can get going on it again. Other than this small bump in the road everything went great. The fitting issue is my F-up. **** happens. Other than that it looks great. Got the polished manifold. Fuel rails can be a bitch to get mounted but just takes a bit of finesse. I will get pics of it when its done. Now heres a question. I bought the aluminum catch can off of WS6Store. Does the catch can REPLACE the PCV valve or does it work in conjunction with the PCV. Right now I have it on with the PCV valve. Dont know if it matters but I thought I would ask. I still have to put on my overdrive puley for my alternator and my rear shocks. Other than that I will be good to go. Then comes the dyno and tuning. I put down 326rwhp/319rwtq as my baseline which was untuned and through an unlocked converter. I will post up the numbers once i get it done. Maybe about 2 weeks though. There is also a 100 shot going on top of this setup so.

from what I understand, the pcv catch can woeks in conjunction with the pcv system. I'm upgrading heads and need the new pcv system, the damn stealership wants over $100 for it. but I gotta do what I gotta do. and next I'm getting the catch can. I'm doin a rebuild right now and I wanna keep as much bad **** out of my engine as I can ya know. well I hope that **** works out for ya bro. lovely sig pic by the way...****** lovely.

Yea I know what you mean. I order parts from the dealer on a regualr basis so the PCV only cost me $75. Im having a huge problem with the fuel rails and the crossover line leaking. Ive spoke with Byunspeed about getting a new kit that includes the rails and fittings the cossover line. They said it shouldnt be a problem but will email me later today and let me know for sure. Hopefully someone from Professional Products on here might help me out a bit. I had a shop look at the flares and said they have a high spot and said the rails dont seal properly. They couldnt get them to seal either. They said they think the flaring was sufficent. They build pro stock cars so i'm taking their word on it. But im not mad. Bad parts come out every now and then. Just hope it doesnt cost me anymore money.

Well everything worked out as planned. Got a new crossover line coming from Professional Products. I think it will all be great when the line gets in.
