Talking pacesetters are on! have a few questions

hey guys i finished up the install today and i have a few questions.
1st on is how do i know if i got the header bolts tight enough?
i used new gm gaskets and the factory bolts and i got them about as snug as they where before i broke em loose and it dont seem to be leaking and i only have a big tq wrench and couldent get to some of the bolts so i went with what felt right.
also after about it being started for a min it started smokeing from under the hood and i figured it was just from my hands and it kind of smelled like plastic burning but i made shure there was no wired near the headers and the plug wires are out of the way.
also i only had to grind down the tab on the block and they slid right in but i had to remove the dip stick tube and then i put it back in and made shure all the bolts lined up but after the header was in i couldent put the bottom bolt in but the top bolt is in so is this ok? i noticed a little oil on the garage floor but i cant see how it would leak because the top bolt is in the was it was before i took it out.
car sound good but i only had it started for a min so should i leave it started in the driveway for a wile?
thanks guys.

Check to make sure your plug wires aren't touching the headers.

smoke was normal and I did like you with the header bolts, just tighten them by feel. As for the dipstick if you have it down in the block all the way it shouldn't leak. I would start the car and see if you can see any oil leaking from the dipstick either from the top side or you may have to get under the car to see it. But have it running while you are looking. If you are under do me a favor and put it on jack stands. Don't trust a floor jack. I knew a guy that died that way.
