i have pacesetters into a custom bent xpipe and 1 chamber race flowmasters.... i havnt heard but one other ls1 that sounded as good as mine.. and he had the same exact setup.. haha

for the loudness factor.. a friend of mine has a H/C car with midlengths into a ypipe.. nothing after the ypipe.. my car at idle and half throttle are louder than his, but WOT he is a TAD bit louder than i am..
my setup is !!!!!!NO!!!!!! where near open headers.. i had open headers for a weekend and then went to my currecnt setup and it sounded like i had stock exhaust back on haha....

if your thinking about that setup.. do it!! you will love it.. i got my x pipe custom bent and bought both mufflers installed for 402.00$.. 200 for the mufflers and 200 for the xpipe and welding part..

1 chamber flows plus h pipe may not make the most hp. But they sound sick sick sick.

Are you talking about your exhaust ports on your heads?

no, a d port is a different kind of crossover that flowmaster makes. like an x or an h, kind of inbetween. summit sells the kit.

how about flowmaster single chambers with no balance pipe just straight pipe to the muffler then dumped? here is clip of my car with that setup, I dont really hear much difference in the h,x, or no balance like mine.

LMAO! That's what people think! I yanked my single chambers off my last trip to the dyno, and to my surprise, gained only ONE rwhp! Car sure sounded like *** without them.

Hey TORCHD 02 TA, do you have any pics of the bottom of your car with that exhaust setup by any chance? I have an X currently, and I'm thinking about switching to an H, but the pipes kinda come in and out of the X at an angle, and I'm trying to see if that would be an issue or not switching the merge to an H.
