Carb Intake manifold question
Carb Intake manifold question My friend is working on his 79 Z28 and is installing an intake for it and he is worried because his heads have 4 water port holes and 2 holes in the middle that doesnt look like they are being used. His manifold he has has 4 holes on it, 2 that connect to the front water holes, the middle holes that connects to the air holes (that i dont know what they are used for) and no holes at the end (the heads both have a hole back there looks like a second set of water ports) can someone tell me what the back set are for?
My theory is that the heads are semetric and can go on either side that is why the holes are there. thanks

sounds like a gen I to me, the middle holes are for EGR crossover, make sure to put the restricters that came with the intake gasket set in those middle holes, and don't worry about the back, most gen I intakes don't have a rear coolant crossover, it'd interfere with the distributor
