Default cut out location?

I have a TSP true dual system and was wondering if it matters where i put the cut outs. what would be the best location for best performance gains?

Should i put it at the end of the headers?

or just after the merge, but before the bullets?

will the sound change a lot between these two locations?

car is a cam only ls1 and hoping to get at or over the 400rwhp mark with the cuts outs and a pulley.

i would put it after the mid pipe but before the mufflers, although i could be wrong but you may have ground clearance issues with dual cutouts.

i dont think youll pick much if any with cutouts on TDs. definitely not worth the money IMO

Do you want one or two cutout's? My single one is mounted underneath the rear passenger seat, complimenting my pacesetter's, catted Y, and Flowmaster catback with a deep rumbling tone, but not to obnoxious at the same time. If you do two, you can mount them right after each header. I placed mine underneath my rear passenger seat because I wanted to have my exhaust sound to appear like it is still coming from out of the tail pipes. As far as performance, you can realistically expect about 5hp gain at most and maybe a little bit of tq. I did mine purely for sound purposes though.

yea im doing 2 cut outs because im running true duals. Im afraid its going to be to loud after the headers so i might just put it after the merge on the x pipe before the mufflers/bullets.

Just curious if there is any big difference in performance if i do it at the end of the headers vs after the merge.

like i said before, i really dont see a point. i didnt notice hardly any difference with my cutout on my o/r Y, and lm2 setup. especially not enough to justify the cost of one, much less two. i think youll be disapointed performance wise, but the sound is addicting. just food for thought

If you do put the cutouts on don't put them to close to where your O2's are becuase it will mess up the readings.
