Question
Question I have an 01 a4 with 2.73 gears in it. I am wanting to add to my current mod list, an 85mm tb, a set of pacesetter lts, an ory, maybe a hooker cb, and I am going to get it tuned after that. My question is this, can I achieve 12 second passes?. It doesn't have to be low 12s, I just want 12s.
Yeah thats what I was afraid of. I know that I raced a 14 second car when all I had was the cb and cat delete and had him by about 4-5 lengths at 110 or so. He runs low 14's too. I don't know, I guess if I can ever find a place to get a set of new gears, I may have to do that.
I think you would really benefit the most from getting a good gear installed...3.73 would put you right where you need to be unless you plan on breaking a land speed record with that 2.73 you got right now..If you worried about MPG then go 3.42 but you will be very impressed with just how much better the car will pull through all the gears with just a gear change...You have a good start should pull high 12'S low low 13's with just a gear..
