Total Horror Show!!!

Total Horror Show!!! My car has been down for a few months to replace the clutch. Well I get everything put back together and figure I ought to charge my light weight Oddessey batterybefore trying to start the engine. I charge the battery at 10 Amps for maybe and hour and a half. Try to crank it over, nothing, then I cranked the charger up to 50 amps, now I get the door chimes and lights but starter or solenoid do nothing. Well I crank the charger up to 200 amps and got some action. Right near the radio and ac controls somthing in the dash goes kaPOW, and smoke comes out of thedash. What the hell happened and why didn't a fuse just blow. I'd like to get this bitch back on the road since Saturday morning drags are starting soon at Gainesville Raceway. HELP.
get a new battery, hook it up and see what no longer works lol. check fuses, fuseable links. I'm not sure what type of circuit protection these cars use but it sounds like you tripped a fuseable link.
u sure the starter isn't getting jammed? or shorted out? clutch not working correctly?

ttt when you put those chargers on the 200 amp mode they put out very high voltage too. I've seen them go to 16 plus volts, this is to "boost" a dead battery. Maybe it got too high and fried something. Do as stated above, replace the battery and then see what happens. Good luck.ttt

Well I'm gonna tear the dash apart this weekend to see how bad I fk'd up the wiring, and then I'll hook up the new battery i bought. The thought of tracking down burned wires isn't pleasant.
