just heads and intake??
I have ls6 heads and intake on my 2000 and it runs good, but the only reason I got the heads is to put a cam in later on. I think the heads will be alot more noticeable when a cam is installed
I would agree. A camshaft would be alot more noticable than heads. Putting better flowing heads on, your camshaft would still only let in so much air to begin with. And the camshaft affects power range ALOT more than heads do. My guess would be about 30HP more with just heads and intake? Cam is where its at..and of course the general combo.
hey man. do u have those heads ported or just plain 243's. either way, what kind of power r u makin.
You will gain a LITTLE hp, but it's basically a waste of time. If you have the car down with the heads off, you might as well do a cam right away also.
Like said before, the cam will still only allow so much flow. The factory heads/cam are "optimized" to work together. You will get more flow and a little more hp, but it's really not worth it without doing a cam also.
