PCM /harness myth?

PCM /harness myth? Looking at wiring harnesses for my swap. Which is the better harness/PCM set up? I hear 98's have slower processors. Are the 99's as good as the 00-02's though? I need a little help to clear the air fellas.
I do not think that they are slower with the 98 but they have less memory and lower resolution on some of the tuning tables. You can't log as much info and can't fine tune it as much as a newer computer.
I have a 98 and use a wideband to tune. It works just fine for me. I tuned it with the 85mm maf sensor. Driveability is very good. I run it in closed loop just like stock except for the fueling and spark.

Many have gone 9 @ 135 and faster with 1998 PCMs, so that shows you the limits of power. As posted, the resolution and memory is less then newer models, but they are just as easy to tune. If that is what you have, it will work.
