Default Coolant Crossover???

I was looking at the install article for switching from my stock LS1 intake to the LS6 and it mentions that I need '01-'02 front coolant crossover and plugs for the rear.

My problem is that none of the parts sites I know of have a current listing for the part numbers provided.

Are the later style cross over and plugs 100% necessary?
Is it possible to use my existing cross over?
Does anyone know a resource to attain the parts?

-Thanks

Some people grind down the bottom of the ls6 to make the ls1 fit. Here's where I got them. http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/cate...MID=1&catid=12

I ran my ls6 intake with the stock crossover in place for a long time. Some people say that it's better to have the stock crossover in place because it helps to balance out the front to rear cylinders.

Unfortunately, you can't use it with the FAST, so I had to switch.

I say keep the stock crossovers and just trim the casting flash off the ls6.

Order placed for the cross over. Do you guys have the Coolant plugs in stock that are recommended for the rear?

The $49.99 you spent gets you the cross-over for the front and plugs for the rear

You should have tracking numbers in just a bit as soon as UPS picks that package up!

I liked the idea of the balance between the front and rear so I used 2 of the front coolant crossovers and used a rubber hose and a brass T fitting to connect them.
