Default 427 Stroker: Cam suggestions?

I know, I know. We all hate these Cam Suggestion threads. So I'll just apologize now and get it behind us.

Long story short, time for a new motor. Building up a 6.0 Iron Block with a forged 427 Stroker kit. I am reusing my heads (Patriot LS6 59cc) and my FAST 92/92 ported combo, as well as everything else I can use from my LS1. I'm debating going with a different cam grind though. I don't know if the "baby" 222-224 .566/.568 (.599/.601 w/ the 1.8 RR) will do the new engine justice. This will remain a DD for awhile, until I save up for the C6 Z06

Looking for some suggestions. Also, if anyone knows where the link for Pat G's cam recomendation form is, could you post it?

Thanks,
Matt

First off, i dont think its safe or good common practice from what i have researched to bore the 6.0L blocks beyond 4.030. 22x/22x is way too small for a 408 or bigger. Most people go in 24x/24x, if thats too big id at least get into the 230's.

224 is way too small for those cubes for most people
look into this thread or try a search for 427 in the dyno section https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...&highlight=427

Thanks guys. Search never gives me what I'm looking for. I'll keep trying though. Also, I know it won't be a true 427 ci when it's all said and done. I think it'll be 414 ci, or something closer to that. Just using a "forged 427 Stroker Kit".

Thanks Pred-Z. You don't think this will be too large for a DD?\

Also, I am re-using the heads in my sig. Won't there be clearance issues?

DD is relative to tuner.

You cannot use that 222 cam because your DCR will be too high.

If you want completely more street then

236/240 .607/.609 113 +2 LSA

^^^And I'll have no clearance issues with the Patriot Stage II LS6 Heads, milled to 59cc? I guess I'd have to get rid of the 1.8 ratio rockers I have now. Any other suggestion, maybe one for if I keep the 1.8's?

Thanks again Pred-Z!

to use the 1.8 rockers you will need a cam with soft lobes, low lifts.
Contact Lingenfelter for such a cam, Imo they are the best at those grinds.
