Does anyone know how much the intake flange on a 5.3 head needs to be cut in relation to milling the deck surface. For example if I mill the head .050" how much will I need to take off the intake flange so that my intake manifold will line up correctly? There should be a formula, I just don't know where to find it.

 

The intake will fit, but those nubs/dimples on intake need to be cut so everything sits down flat/fits.
