Default sticking lifters

ok in a previous post i stated that my car is ticking all the time now and it increases when i throttle up... everyone believes its the lifters...


my question is... once i pull the valvecovers... what am i looking for... how do i know which lifter is bad.. what do i go once i yank the cover...

check for exsess play in the rocker arms. You'll have to roll the engine over by hand to close the valves your looking at. Watch all the rockers move up and down should be nice and smooth. To replace the lifters you'll have to pull the heads.

May be a bent pushrod, check them first before removing the heads.

What kinda noise would a bad lifter make??
