Default Which Engine Stand to get?

I know its a newbee question but I am picking up a used engine that I will be cleaning up more and doing all the work.
There are two different ones I have been finding pretty much being 1000lb and 2000lb, which one do I need for an LS1?

My hoist was purchased from Pep Boys in Sterling Hts, MI.
$120.00 sale, and it has a 2 ton weight limit on the boom. I've lifted a big block Olds 425 fully dressed with it no problem.
Best $120 I think that I have EVER spent, since now I use it for other heavy chores around the yard when needed.

My stand was bought from Jegs in 1997, 4 leg, 1250lb, and is being borrowed to the friend with the 425 Olds. Holds it no problem, no sag. I believe it was a Larkin, but I'd have to verify. He's had it for a few years.
I have a Northern Tool 4 leg 1200lb stand holding my iron Buick V6's and they seem to hold ok.
As long as your stand doesnt sag badly when loaded you should be alright. The 1250lb I have has a slight backwards tilt, so when loaded, sits the engine level.
Both stands swivel 360, with pin locking holes.

The most important thing to note is to make sure you get Grade 8 bolts to hold the engine to the stand.
Grade 5 will probably hold an aluminum engine, but I would use 8's anyway.
For the minor cost difference from Grade 5 to 8, would you want your feet or legs to take the chance of it falling?

Likewise with the chain. Make sure you have an adequate weight chain for lifting an engine.
You can go overkill...but don't go light.

A full dress LS1 w/acc will weight in a 440 lbs.. so for most use for you, the 1000 lb will well get you by.. but if you can afford it.. go big!

add another 80-100 for a iron block

The ones with the crank to rotate are a good option...
