im not exactly sure where to post this (which shows you how stumped i am bout this one) but while driving my 99 Z28 i always feel it run funny. no matter what gear (6spd) as i accelerate it will steadily climb Rs until right around 2500 it makes a noticeable stop in smoothness of acceleration, then picks right back up again. this happens anytime im giving it enough gas to wanna wait to shift that long but not if im pedal down hard (not that i can tell at least) what could this be?? or is it just a normal ls1 thing due to stock tuning or something? anything you can give me would help even if its just a diagnostic tip. much appreciated

 

More info on the set up. Sounds lie the MAf has a intermitt fail or tps.

Clean the MAF with a $4 can of MAF cleaner and q-tips, report back. And your 13.7 run @104 is in line with the mods you have.

 

will do. and i dont think 13.7 is horrible, its just ive seen stock automatic ls1s run low 13s. it just doesnt make sense a girl i know (granted she prolly weighs 95 lbs) ran 13.0 in a stock 00 t/a, and i saw a stock vert 01 z28 run a 13.3 with his gf in the car the night i went. i talked to him n he said it was stock idk maybe theyre liars no biggie. yeah ill clean it out n try it b4 the salt gets poured n winter starts
