Good hot cam for a dd?

Good hot cam for a dd? What would be a good choice for a cam to put into my stock ls1? It'll go in my 87 SS and i want it to be real lumpy but still a daily driver. What brands and durations are the best that you guys have used? Also thinking about putting an LS6 intake on it, any other ideas on intakes? Thanks for all the help!
Definately go with the LS6 intake manifold. Good upgrade for more power.
As far as camshafts go...you will hear every camshaft under the sun mentioned and people saying how that particular cam is daily drivable and what not. But what is daily drivable for them, may not be what another person thinks.
If you have an automatic transmisison, depending on the cam , you should upgrade the torque convertor to take advantage of whatever cam you go with.
Some good decent camshafts for a nice daily driver and a nice decent bump in power:
*GM Hot Cam
*TR224
*Comp Cams XFI-RPM and XFI-Hi-lift http://www.compcams.com/technical/Ca...07/172-175.pdf
*Crane Cams Z-series
etc....
Dont forget to upgrade the valvesprings and pushrods.

I have a ls1 m6 GTO daily driver I opted for a custom comp cam 228/230 .588/.592 112+2 and put down 387.94/373.72 tq with stock ls1 heads, stock intake, stock throttle body, stock ud pulley. Mods are in my sig I can drive 40 mph all day in 6th with no bucking or surging. cam behaves and pulls like stock only way harder and i get over 25 mpg on the highway sounds good too
