If you are just swapping the motor, you will probaby just want to have a tune done. The motors will swap without needing to change anything. They are both 24x reluctors on either motor and all the mounts, accessories, etc. will swap back and forth between engines. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks!
Jon

Having just done this in my Z/28 I can tell you first hand that it can be done but I would recommend getting the PCM retuned because you will be leaving hp on the table if you don't.

Sorry, stupid question, but why did you guys decide to swap an ls6 in instead of something bigger?

Cost and since mine was a crate motor it also came with a GM warranty. I get more power, a warranty and it still drives like its stock. OP the only problem I encountered, mine was really lean after the swap so it needed to be tuned.
