Default I need opinions.

hey guys i got a 98' T/A im thinking about going with a 383 rotating assembly.
I've already got a MS3 cam. and i will probably spray a 150-200 shot of nitrous. whats your guys opinion, the ones that have or have had a 383 let me know what u think of them. and if u guys know a better direction to go let me know. Thanks

sounds like a good plan. the ones I have seen on the board are pretty stout. You should gain some low end torque too, with the added cubes

Are you putting it together yourself or buying a shortblock? If you buying the shortblock go with a 408. Its not very much more at all and will give you more power. But if you doing it yourself then a 383 is a great setup

A 383 would be good, but you might as well build a 402 for even more cubes. You will probably end up spending the same amount on the rotating assembly for both. The bonus to building a 383 is you can use your LS1 block, but the 97-98 blocks are weaker than the later LS1 blocks, you will be pushing the limits of that block especially since you want to spray it. I am in the process of building a nitrous 402 for next year. Hope that helps ya!
