Default 98 LS1 newbie question

Hello Folks,

I’m looking at a 1998 LS1 / Auto from a Firebird . Can you tell me if there is anything to be worried about?

Sorry for this newbie question. Be I can’t seem to find the answer?!

Also what is the difference between the 98 and 99 LS1's?

Thanks

Capt Chrysler

Well just go about it like you would before you buy any other car. Check oil pressure, do a compression test, check tranny shifting at different rpm levels, inspect the undercarriage of the car, rack n' pinion etc, oil color and dip stick feed neck color, check fluid levels and then drive the car and see how it handles.

Regarding your other question about the differences of the Firebirds I suggest you look here.

Hope that helps you some.
