GM Hotcam
GM Hotcam I did my own search and have found good and bad things about this cam. However, my goals right now are for performance and sound on a budget. I recently found a hotcam for $150 so I think I may go ahead and scoop it up. What other supporting mods besides springs will I need? Which springs should I go with? LS6, Patriot or other? Of course I will retune after the install.
Also, with such a small cam will I need to do a stall? As of right now I hadn't planned on running a stall. I read that I do not need one, but will only benefit from it.

Hotcam has a pretty lumpy idle, I would think it would be a pain without a stall. As for springs, I thought the "kit" came with LS6 springs, which can be had for about $60.

i got my hotcam installed saturday, i have only driven it twice since then.
it does need a stall, but i think you could get around for a little while with the stock converter, and as far as the driveablity its does ok on the stock tune, runs a little rich right now, and has a little surge to it when coming to a stop.
hopefully i can get my stall installed this week and tuned sometime in the next month.
