Default Titanium valves

Anyone use them in LS1/LS6 heads yet? Are there any available and what is the cost?

I don't know if anyone makes an off the shelf Ti valve for the LS1/LS6, but even if they do, you're looking at around $800+ just for valves alone. Plus, Ti valves have their own issues that must be dealt with. For what you are doing (I read your other thread about the 918 springs) I REALLY don't think you need these valves. These valves are made for very high rpm applications, or applications that have very long valves and a heavy valve train. A street/strip LS1 with an rpm ceiling of around 7000 rpms, just doesn't qualify. Save your cash for something that will actually make you some power.

I had Thunder Racing price them out for me. They were around $100/each. There was a nice flow difference between Ti and regular valves (~15-20 cfm), but $1600 for valves was more than I wanted to go (ya gotta put your limit somewhere, right ). Plus, they don't last as long under high spring pressure (like required with a solid roller). Thunder has used them in LS1's before tho.
