Re: Torque specs on head bolts ...the offical GM torque specs are done per the JMX directions above....they work out to be close to about 75lbs for the long bolts and 65-70-lbs for the two shorter bolts...

Re: Torque specs on head bolts You guys gotta understand that the whole point of a TTY bolt is that it's more accurate than a torque spec itself. Depending on any oil or grit that might be in the headbolt hole itself, 75lb ft might end up being more or less tight than 75lb feet on somebody elses car. The TTY angle will end up being the same no matter what the torque spec ends up being.
