Definately good for you.. wish I enjoyed it that much!

I'm running the GM ls6 heads and ls6 cam setup and make 410whp.. with stock gear it did 11.9 @ 118 full weight 6spd. LS6 cams do work!

Disappointed, no. I was looking for a minor gain.

I'm just saying to other guys that ARE looking for HP gains - the aftermarket cams will likely net you more noticeable improvements.

Ls6 cam, intake, heads stock will give you 400hp 356rwhp that's cool like having a ls6 in your car get the ls6 heads ported that will add another 20 rwhp and don't forget that's on a car without headers.lol

Why did you go with the 01 LS6 cam when you had plan on doing the better one?

I thought about this all winter. I went with the 01 LS6 cam because it's so mild. Probably could have gone with the 02 LS6 and netted equally good manners.

I'm not interested in winning a drag race. This car is mostly used for cruising in the country at sundown after a hot summer day.

Kidding? You would rather run a failure prone 918 spring instead of a factory tested and designed spring. GM built those springs to go 100k+ miles with that cam so why mess with it? Not trying to start an argument here just confused.

As far as the cam selection, If you want some good power all through the rev range and decent mileage I would suggest the gm hot cam. It has a mild idle with good engine vacuum and is often reffered to as a starter cam. Coincidentally I am selling one that I put in my brothers truck for him since it is relatively mild and it was his DD.

Heres the sale thread if you are interested.
