317 heads 6.0

I have a 6.0 liter I've already swapt into my camaro 98 z28 it was out of an "2005 sierra 3500" are There any ways to determine wether it' LQ4 or LQ9? I have the 317s. Google and most of my chebu friends havent been to helpful

317 heads were used on both 4/9.

According to this link only difference is piston crown: http://bdturnkeyengines.com/60l-lq9-vs-lq4/

Know anyone with a bore scope? Should be able to see the "crucifix" fairly easy.

The 2500 and 3500 chassis only came with an LQ4.

The LQ9 was only available in the 1500 chassis on specific models.

I think the LQ9 was available on some Caddilacs

853 was used on TA's
