Default Need Help on Deciding on forging bottom end!!

I have an 02 camaro ss with 24,500 miles and was needing advice on building my motor for a supercharger. I planned on having my motor dropped and buying forged pistons/rods/arp bolts for my bottom end and having machine work done to it. Would it be better for me to sell my short block and just buy a forged shortblock from a sponsor instead and save money or is it cheaper to forge my bottom end?

I am building a Forged 346 LS6,
2004 LS6 block (newer version)
Diamond -8.6 boost pistons
eagle H-beam rods
Callies 3.625 (stock stroke) dragon slayer crank
Dm-performance girdle,
ARP everything
stock rockers with harlem sharp rebuild
AS ported heads, TR blower cam
SLP oil pump/double roller timming chain kit
Merkel Racing is assembling the motor

it got very expensive, and yes you can most likley build a budget forged 346 using your stock crank and block, re use your oil pump rockers etc,

But i wanted to build my motor a certain way, with quality parts, i wanted to do it right the first time, the callies crank and girdle are over kill for a 600-700 rwhp motor but at least i know what i got , and i wont be afraid to break it,
and if i wanted to make more power i can.

Leave it alone. thats the last year. or use a different engine. take the old engine out and keep it under the shelf. thats a low mile 02, kind of rare.

I'd keep your car running as it is and build a new forged engine for the supercharger. When the supercharged on is ready swap. The sell the old set up.
