lq4 6.0 accessories I'm new to the gen lll engines. I just purchased a '02 lq4 engine and 4l80e for $750. I am going to put them in my '95 mustang. My question is the accessories. do the truck engines run a long style water pump?i would like to use the f-body stuff.
yes, all of the truck acc. are longer.
You can use the trk parts as I did in my application, but if you have a tight conversion you want to go with the car acces. The lower pully (balancer on the trk motor) sticks out some. May interfere with your radiator. I like the car acces. a little better but didn't want to change everything out. My LQ-4 had 5K on it so the water pump was basically new. Unless you can find used I think LS style water pumps are $100.00 plus aftermarket.

I think the alt. is gonna be too high and might hit the hood. I'm fabbing up a turbo system using flipped manifolds. looks like the crossover might interfer with the ps pump.
