what year is my ls1?

#'s on the block, 50113 front, 12561168 rear. heads have a #241 stamp. thanks.

That's an 01-04 motor. You have the LS6 block which is pretty sweet.

241 means it's atleast a late 2000 engine with upgraded rod bolts. The 12561168 is an LS6 block. This means you have an LS6 block, from a 2001-2002 camaro or 2001-2004 non z06 corvette since it has the 241 heads. You would also have an LS6 intake if the engine is complete.

Ls6 has better oil galleys, extra webbing around the cylinder walls. nothing crazy. Both the ls6 and LS1 are 6 bolt main blocks.

oiling system is the same between 99+ LS1 and LS6 blocks..

Really? I could have sworn the LS6 blocks had better oil passage ways. Pumps are the same.
