What do I look for before I buy some used heads. I am planning on buying some heads and am skeptical if I should get them. Heads have 10,000 miles on them and nitrous has been used. Also have been shaved to boost compression

Well, I have a set of used heads (Dart 205's), same mileage, driven like a granny (never tracked). Mostly street driving. Before I sell, I plan to clean and lap the valves back in then measure installed valve spring height for the new owner when I sell them.
Depending on what the price is on the heads you are buying and the condition, they may or may not be a good deal. Guess my point is you seem to be buying a set of heads you are concerned about, and considering the work involved with installation, it is worth it?
