Default Comfortable Cam?

Hello All,
New to the site; Long time lurker.

Yes. I've read all I can about cams and used the search feature but i cant seem to find any one address this.

Would a cam on a 112 at highway speed be uncomfortable? Is a 114 better? I am looking at cams in the upper 220's range to lower 230 range (specifically 228 min. 232 max). I am not really in the market for a cheater/stealth type cam.

I dont mind the rough idle too much but I do enjoy going on cruises and going on mini road trips with the girlfriend and i wouldnt like a LOUD car on a 2-3 hour drive.

Is the cam I am going with too big? Car will have ported LS1 heads and a Fast 90 Intake/TB.

Exhaust consists of Lt's, Y with Cats, and a Hooker Catback.

The lower the LSA is the chopper the idle is going to be, if you want more of a smooth idle then go with a higher LSA like a 114. As for the cam you want a 228 wouldnt be to big, it just depends on what you want to do with the car. You could also look into reverse split cams.

i think it all depends on your exhaust... your best bet is to get like a 114 lsa or split cam
