Just fried my ECU
plugged in all my sensors I had disconnected... connected battery and turned key. fuel pump works (rail was disconnected so I know it works
)turned the key to start it... CLICK.. ENTIRE electrical system shuts down.. so at this point I'm thinking "well **** me rightous...." disconnect and reconnect, car "boots" back up.. turn the key again (closing starter circuit) same ****.. so I disconnected.. threw my wrench threw the wall, killed a kitten, and beat my dogs sensless all the while trying to insert my foot in my ***.
AHHH so what if I use another ECU (ie. from my truck!!) connect it, connect battery, turn key... all systems go. starter works, have spark and cd player is churnin butter like aintchamomma. breathe seigh of relief and retrieve wrench, dead kitten and half dead dog... all while singing "oh come can you see"
moral of the story: dont be a douche bag and forgot the simple mundane things....
and the question: do you think I shorted anything else sensetive out? everything seams to be work.. seams as though the only thing that took a hit and **** was the ECU itself... I was worried I melted sometires together... havent run the car but if it had fuel in the cylinder it would run.
sorry for the story.. thought yall might get a kick out of this.
