6.0 question
Not sure if this is the right place but I will ask.
Here's the problem. I pulled the LS1 from my 99 Wrangler due to the piston slap and put in a 2004 6.0. Runs great. No issues. It's my winter time plow Jeep and low range for plowing is no longer needed.
My first Jeep swap was a 98 Wrangler with a 2001 4.8. I still have it and it's dying for an upgrade.
On my engine stand sits the LS1 needing a rebuild to the tune of $2800.
I can buy a low mileage 2006 6.0 for $1200.
I have accumulated the the following parts. 2003 LS6 heads,2003 LS6 cam and Comp Cams 1.85 rocker conversion.
I'm trying to do this on the cheap.
Do the LS6 heads and cam turn the iron block 6.0 into a LS2?
If I bolt the LS6 heads onto the 6.0 does the compression go to about 10:6?
I'm looking for daily summer driving for this 98 Wrangler.
Any thoughts is welcomed.

An LS2 is an Aluminum LQ9 with 243 heads, so no it will not be an LS2. The CR will be around 10.4:1. Many truck guys do the same mods to their trucks: Add a 6.0L, 243 heads and LS6 cam. That setup produces great low end torque for heavy vehicles or off-roading.
