Default Thinking about going custom spec cam.

So I am thinking about a custom cam to eek a little more outta my current setup. Right now I have a Reverse Split 234/226 .595/.595 on a 112... Full bolt ons, through ported LS6 heads, and an LS6 manifold.

SS4000 stall, swapping to 3.73 gears this winter. I want a cam thats going to take full advantage of my stall, and sound like the earth is coming to an end at idle.

Current numbers are in my sig.... which isnt bad, but I am shooting for full weight low 11s on motor, while looking almost bone stock under the hood. It WILL have juice to it once I hit that mark, so I would want something that is Nitrous friendly.

Cmon gurus, help me out here...

I would suggest 90/90 setup, and I personally would have used a standard or even single pattern camshaft profile myself, 232/236 etc.. I have tuned a car with a 228/232 cam, FAST 78/78, ported #243s it goes 10.90s @123.

The intake is a restriction for you, but I don't think that you need an 8* split at your elevation. I would use a 234/230 on a 111 + 5 for a revearse split or a 228/234 on a 111 + 4.

The cam really wasnt a choice as I bought the heads and cam as a set new from someone that never had them installed, and got a great deal on them. But I realize now that the reverse split is an outdated grind, and isnt going to be a nitrous friendly cam.

I would like to get my hands on a Fast setup, and would REALLY like to get that new Fiber Tuned Manifold, but I know funding wont be there to do that and address other issues such as upgrading from a stock suspension.

I guess you can say I am at a crossroad, and need a little direction.
