Default Replacing rod bearings??

Can you replace rod bearings with out doing machine work? Can you just take the old ones out and put the new ones right in and bolt everything back together? Thanks

I've seen it done. As long as you go back with the same size and torque specs I don't see a problem.

Yes you can, just keep every thing very clean. And use assembly lube on the bearings.

If you are wanting to replace them because you have a rod knocking, no you can't just change them.

Like LS1MCSS said, If you have a spun bearing there's no way you can just change bearings with out machine work, But if you just have high mileage and want to freshen up the bearings then you can.
