Running Leaded gas
Hey guys,
What is the easiest way to run leaded gas. I need to run 116. I have seen a few ideas. They have been to run in open loopwith no o2's. Or buy Bosch Lead tolerant O2s. I basically live in a a area where the climate is the same all year. I like the idea of using a wideband for tuning and then forget about the o2's. Any comments would really help. Also can we run in closed loop fulltime(open loop-I get them confused, whatever loop that the com does not read o2's. And can closed loop operation be tuned.
Thanks
Randy

Re: Running Leaded gas
Yes. VP, as well as otheres, makes a fuel that is for fuel injected use with O2 sensors. It's not 116 octane but unless you are running 14:1 compression at sea level, you will not need 116 octane. More octane than you need will lose power. The fuel I'm referring to is rated around 105 octane. I can't remember exactly. It would support an easy 12:1 compression ratio.
