Default Alternator relocation?

Im in the middle of a LS1 swap out of a 2000 Firebird into a Honda S2000 and need to know if some make a alternator bracket to move it from the bottom of the engine to the top where the power steering pump was on a 2000 firebird's LS1? Can i use a C6 vette bracket to move it with they are mounted up top PLEASE HELP

they make one that moves it to the top passenger side. speed inc makes one and a couple of guys on the forum do too. check in the forced induction section for more info.

I haven't seen any top mounted kits, they may exist, just don't know where. Wonder if you could modify one of the bottom mounted kits like these 2 and make it work up top? These 2 kits keep it on the drivers side but are mounted low and work with an electric water pump.

Speed Inc can get you squared away no problem.

You can use the corvette bracket. but it will only work with the corvette alternator. You have to shim it out to line up with the f-body crank pulley because the corvette accessories are further back. Street and Performance(http://www.hotrodlane.cc/) sells a bunch of acc drive setups if you want to check them out.

Looking at it after getting a little sleep last night it looks like my best bet is going to move it to where the A/C compressor was to avoid my electric OEM steering rack any suggsetions for moving it to that spot im not using the power steering from the LS1 nor am i using A/C since the car will have a rollcage and no top.
